Names released in fatal Thumb cement mixer crash

Colfax Township — Authorities have released the names of two people who died when a cement mixer crashed into a Ford Ranger pickup truck in Huron County.

The victims in the pickup were Chris Whisenant, 24, of Deford and Audrie Dorsch, 19, of Elkton. They were passengers. The pickup driver, Andrew Trinity, 23, of Walled Lake, is in a Saginaw hospital.

The crash occurred Thursday. The sheriff’s office says the driver of the pickup didn’t yield and pulled into the path of the loaded cement mixer.

The mixer driver wasn’t hurt.
