Investigators get tip, dig in Michigan’s Thumb; no body

Vassar Township, Mich. — Acting on a tip, authorities were digging in a rural area in Tuscola County but found no sign of a woman missing since 1998.

Robin Jobson hasn’t been seen since leaving a Flint bar 18 years ago. She was 31 at the time.

Tuscola County Undersheriff Glen Skrent tells TV station WNEM that the dig occurred Friday in Vassar Township. No body was found.

Jobson’s brother, Tony Jobson, says he appreciate the tip, even if no evidence was discovered. He says, “We need to put this to rest.”
