Late antlerless firearm deer season starts in Michigan

Associated Press

Lansing — Michigan wildlife officials and hunters launched the late antlerless firearm deer season.

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources says the season began Monday and runs through Jan. 1. A valid, private-land antlerless deer license is required to participate.

The hunt is restricted to private land in designated deer management units.

The department also reminds hunters to wear orange.
