Hillsdale — A 9-year-old Michigan boy has been found safe after he went missing earlier this week, sparking a large search.

Jace Landon Lyon was found just before 7 p.m. in “good health” in Fayette Township, the Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement late Friday.

“This is the outcome that can happen when the community comes together to aid one another,” said Sheriff Timothy Parker, who thanked more than 200 volunteers who helped search for the boy.

Other details were not released.

Jace had been the subject of a search after he was reported missing Wednesday by his mother from the family’s home in Hillsdale County’s Fayette Township. A $5,000 reward was being offered for information.

Parker earlier said there was a chance the boy may have been hiding and investigators had no solid leads or tips on where the boy may have gone.
