University of Michigan police are investigating an allegation that someone tried to kidnap a 10-year-old on campus early Thursday.

A man reportedly tried to lure the girl into his four-door black vehicle around 8:15 a.m. in a North Campus parking lot, NW46, at 1400 McIntyre Drive, investigators said in a statement.

He “waved to the child to enter,” but she immediately ran away, the release read.

The man is described as a white male, 50-60 years old, with gray hair styled “like Albert Einstein,” wearing a black leather jacket and sunglasses, according to the notice.
