UM issues crime alert after alleged assault

The University of Michigan’s Department of Public Safety and Security has issued a crime alert after a woman was allegedly “approached from behind” off-campus early Sunday.

The alert says the assault took place about 2:30 a.m. on the 1100 block East University, which is near Prospect, not far from the Central Campus area.
