State Police, ATF execute 'multiple' search warrants in Metro Detroit

Michigan State Police and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are executing "multiple" search warrants in Metro Detroit on Wednesday morning, State Police announced on Twitter.

"Expect a police presence for a few more hours," a state police tweet on the warrants said. 

The ATF, through spokeswoman Ronnie Dahl, said the warrants are "part of a criminal investigation" and being served in "several" locations in Detroit and around the region.

There was no immediate word on what those warrants produced.
