1 dead, 1 critical in Ypsilanti shooting
Ypsilanti Police are investigating a double shooting last Thursday which left a 25-year-old woman dead and a 29-year-old man in critical condition at local hospital, according to police.
The shooting occurred around 11:20 p.m. in the 700 block of Green Street at an unnamed apartment complex a few miles away from the Eastern Michigan University campus.
When officers arrived, they reported a man with a gunshot wound in the second floor common hallway and after checking a nearby apartment, they found a female dead from a gunshot to the head.
Police said it appears there was a robbery possibly involving drugs because some items were taken, according to a Ypsilanti news release.
The two suspects have been described as black males in their early 20s and dressed in all black with a black backpack.
