Ann Arbor police: $500 reward for help catching park vandal
The Ann Arbor Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a vandal whose calling card is writing graffiti, using a dark-colored marker, at city parks – and is offering a $500 reward for information leading to an arrest.
The vandal, police say, has targeted "park benches, tables, and restrooms," at "numerous city parks," including Gallup Park, which is along the Huron River. Police said the city is seeing a significant increase in vandalism in its parks of late, and a statement from the police department says the graffiti has required the "repair or replacement of park facilities and equipment."
Tipsters are asked to share what they know with Ann Arbor police at firstname.lastname@example.org, or at (734) 794-6939.
