Alleged sexual assault reported in UM dorm
University of Michigan authorities are investigating an alleged sexual assault in a dormitory last week.
A woman told investigators a man wearing a loose-fitting shirt and pajama or sweatpants pulled her into a custodial closet at about 10:30 p.m. on March 27 in the South Quadrangle Residence Hall on Madison Street in Ann Arbor, according to a crime alert the UM Division of Public Safety & Security issued Friday.
The victim reported the incident Wednesday. The man is described as white, age 19-20, about 5-foot-10, 120-125 pounds, with a very thin build and short dark hair.
The division is investigating the incident as a third-degree sexual assault and seeking tips to find the suspect.
Anyone with information is asked to call the UM officials at (734) 763-1131.
