A million dollar prize is just waiting for someone to take it home, state lottery officials said Wednesday.

A  $1 million Powerball prize for the Sept. 25, 2017, drawing remains unclaimed, they said.

The winning ticket that matched five numbers — 08-10-21-23-25 — was sold at the Ionia Marathon gas station located at 121 N. Dexter St. in Ionia.

The ticket's owner should call the Michigan Lottery Public Relations Division at (517) 373-1237 to schedule an appointment to collect the prize. The winner has until Sept. 25, 2018, to claim the prize.

Powerball tickets are sold in 44 states, Washington, D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
