A woman has been charged in relation to a double stabbing in Ann Arbor that left one woman dead, according to court records.

Carla Kay Cole, 52, is being held at the Washtenaw County Jail on a $250,000 cash-or-surety bond, per the jail.

She faces charges of open murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm (strangulation) and assault with a dangerous weapon in a June 19 double stabbing near Packard and Platt in Ann Arbor.

At 12:41 a.m., police responded to a reported stabbing at a home in the area of LaSalle and St. Aubin, which is south of Packard and east of Platt.

Two victims, a 31-year-old woman, and a 41-year-old man, had been stabbed. 

The male victim was treated and released. The female victim, who police identify as Crystal Ludwig, died on June 23.

Cole was arrested that night at her home. She's scheduled for a probable cause conference Thursday at 15th District Court in Ann Arbor.
