An Amber Alert for a missing 1-year-old girl who authorities say was taken late Saturday by a man at a Grand Rapids gas station has been canceled.

Jaionna Jayzlyn Ross was found safe, authorities say. No other information is available.

Ross was with her mother, Jennell Michelle Ross, when they pulled into a gas station near 44th Street and Kalamazoo Ave.

Ross had left her daughter in the vehicle and was walking toward the gas station, when an occupant of the vehicle, believed to be a black male in his late 20s named "Terrell," drove off with the baby in the vehicle.

Police found the vehicle a short distance away, but not the baby. The car seat was left behind.

Ross said she and Terrell are in a new relationship, about a month long, and she claimed to not know his full name, phone number or where he works.
