St. Clair Co. officials seek suspect's possible victims
The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office is looking for possible victims of a man accused of sexually assaulting children, officials said Thursday.
Detectives are asking anyone who may have been sexually assaulted by James Carlton Reilly, 62, of Columbus Township, to call Det. Kelsey Wade at (810) 987-1738.
Police accuse Reilly, who goes by the nickname "J.C.," of sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl, according to the sheriff's office.
Reilly has been charged in court with first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a child under 13, second-degree criminal sexual conduct, kidnapping, child sexually abusive activity, using computers to commit a crime and distributing obscene material to children.
A judge ordered Reilly to be held without bond at the county jail and scheduled his next court appearance for Wednesday.
Officials said Reilly has a previous first-degree criminal sexual conduct conviction for assaulting a child under the age of 13 in 1989. He was released from prison in 1999, police said.
Before moving to Columbus Township, Reilly lived in the city of Warren.
