Munson Medical Center nurses reach tentative contract
Traverse City – Unionized nurses at Munson Medical Center in northern Michigan have reached a tentative three-year contract agreement.
The agreement announced Monday by the Michigan Nurses Association includes provisions to safeguard staffing levels at the Traverse City hospital, limits mandatory overtime and includes raises.
The nurses formed a union in 2017 under the Michigan Nurses Association. Unions member are expected to vote in the coming days on whether to approve the deal.
Munson Healthcare says it’s pleased to reach the agreement and believes the contract takes into account what’s best for employees, patients and the community.
