Associated Press
Spring Lake – Crews are working to fix a high-pressure natural gas main that was struck during a construction project in western Michigan.
The Ottawa County sheriff’s office says the gas main was broken Wednesday afternoon in the village of Spring Lake and crews expect to have the main repaired by Thursday afternoon.
The break prompted a warning from authorities to avoid the area.
No injuries were reported. Emergency responders and repair crews area monitoring natural gas levels surrounding the site until repairs are completed.
