A 28-year-old Henrietta Township man died Monday when a tractor he was using overturned, Michigan State Police said.

The man was removing a tree Monday on private property off Coon Hill between Autumn Lane and Sayers, police said in a statement. As it uprooted, the man's tractor "overturned backwards," police said.

The victim suffered severe injuries.

Witnesses and first responders attempted to help him, but he died from his injuries.
