Body of missing person found in St. Joe River, state police say

Berrien Springs — The body of a person reported missing Saturday has been found in the St. Joe River, Michigan State Police said Monday.

Officials said the body of Sithembile Dube was located in the river near Berrien Springs.

Members of the state police's Marine Services Team searching the St. Joe River near U.S.-31 and Snow Road in  Berrien County after a missing person report for Sithembile Dube was issued Saturday.

They said there does not appear to be any signs of foul play but the investigation is ongoing. Investigators are waiting for the results of an autopsy.
