Southfield police search for suspects in armed robbery at Northland Mall

Southfield — Police are on the lookout for two men who committed an armed robbery Monday afternoon in the parking lot of a Target store at Northland Mall.

According to police reports, the incident occurred at about 5:20 p.m. in the parking lot of the store located in the 21500 block of Northwestern Highway.

The victim told police he had placed an ad on Craigslist for the sale of a laptop computer and had agreed to meet a potential buyer in the store.

No deal was struck but when the victim walked out to his car he was approached by the same man who implied that he had a weapon. The suspect then took the computer and fled in a green Chevrolet Impala being driven by another man.

The first suspect is described as being about 18-years-old with a light goatee. He was wearing a blue Nike baseball hat, white Detroit Lions T-shirt and light blue jeans.

Suspect number two was also described as being about18 years old and wearing a neck brace.
