Detroit man charged in shooting
Southfield — A 20-year-old Detroit man has been charged in Saturday's shooting at the Duo Restaurant and Lounge on Northwestern Highway that left two people wounded by gunfire.
Kobiee Emanual Hooper was arrested at a Detroit address on Tuesday, according to a press release. Police said the victims, both shot during an altercation outside the nightclub, are recovering from injuries.
Hooper was arraigned before Southfield 46th District Magistrate Eman Janonie-Daman Thursday on two counts of assault with intent to murder and related firearms offenses. He is held in the Oakland County Jail on $500,000 cash bond pending an Oct. 2 pre-exam conference.
The charges can carry penalties of up to life in prison.
