Troy — One person was injured when his car went airborne and landed on top of five new vehicles at a car dealership Tuesday night.

According to the Troy Fire Department, the incident occurred at about 11:20 p.m. at the Suburban Cadillac dealership, located at 1810 Maplelawn, near Crooks and Maple, at the Troy Motor Mall. When firefighters arrived, they found a vehicle on top of the new cars with the driver still trapped inside.

Rescuers first stabilized the vehicle to keep it from moving and then used the hydraulic spreaders and cutters to remove the unidentified driver, who was then turned over to EMS personnel and taken to a local hospital for treatment.

A large wrecker from A&M Service towing company lifted the vehicle off the Cadillacs.
