Waterford Twp. police looking for robbery suspect

Waterford Township — Police are on the lookout for a sneak thief who stole cash from a business on Oct. 27.

Police received a call from the owner of Kennedy's Pub — located in the in the 1000 block of West Huron — at about 8:30 a.m., telling them he had suffered a larceny.

The victim said the suspect entered the business and asked to use the restroom. A short time later, the owner noticed an envelope containing money was missing from the cash register.

Police checked footage from a security camera, which showed the suspect moving behind the serving counter when none of the employees were present. He grabbed the envelope and then fled the building.

The suspect is described as being 5-foot-9 to 6 feet, 170 pounds and wearing a gray pullover sweatshirt with the words "New York" on the back.

He was also wearing black sweat pants and gray shoes.
