Police are looking for a suspect in a home invasion Monday in Highland Township.

Around 2:01 p.m. Monday a woman reported that the doorbell rang at her home in the 1600 block of Rowe. When she checked to see who was at the door she reported seeing no one and that there were no vehicles in the driveway, police said.

A short time later the woman heard glass break and discovered a man inside her home. The woman screamed and called 911 and the suspect ran from the home.

Oakland County sheriff’s deputies responded to the call. A K-9 unit lost the suspect’s scent at a nearby property. Detectives continue to investigate.

The suspect is described as a man in his late 20s wearing a gray plaid jacket.
