The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a car crash Tuesday in Orion Township that left a 56-year-old woman dead.

Glenda Bizzotto was driving a 1994 Ford Ranger south on the curved section of Baldwin near Indianwood Drive about 1:30 p.m. “when she lost control of her vehicle, slid sideways across the center line and into the path” of a northbound 2010 Jeep Laredo, the sheriff’s office said in a statement.

The Oxford Township resident wasn’t wearing a seat belt and was ejected through the passenger side window, the sheriff’s office said. Bizzotto was transported to the McLaren Oakland medical center in Pontiac, where she was pronounced dead.

Township fire officials also transported the other driver, a 60-year-old Clarkston resident, to the hospital, where she was listed in stable condition Tuesday.

The woman had been using a seat belt when her Jeep was struck, sheriff’s officials said.
