Pontiac — A nonprofit that offers free home repair services in Oakland County is expanding its annual Rebuild Day events to two weekends.

Rebuilding Together Oakland County is seeking applications from low-income homeowners to have work done.

To qualify, applicants must own their home and be current on mortgage payments and taxes. Homeowners in the Huron Valley area, Pontiac, Oak Park, Royal Oak Township, Southfield, Farmington, Farmington Hills and the Lakes Area of western Oakland County are eligible.

Applications are due Feb. 20. Rebuild Day events are April 25 and May 2. The aim is to help low-income senior citizens, military families and others by providing home repairs and maintenance for those who cannot afford or physically complete the work.

Volunteers and sponsors also are being sought.
