Pontiac — Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson is promising "exciting announcements" as part of his 2015 State of the County address Feb. 4.

Patterson, in his sixth term as county executive, will review significant accomplishments of 2014 and look at what's ahead this year in the 7 p.m. invitation-only event to be held at the Oakland Ballroom at the Auburn Hills Marriott Pontiac.

"We have several exciting announcements that will impact many residents and businesses," Patterson said in a news release Wednesday. "Plus, we will talk about some milestones we are reaching in key programs such as Emerging Sectors and take a look back at 2014 including the August flooding and the Great Lakes Water Authority."

The public will be able to listen to the address live on WDET-FM (101.9), watch a live stream by Motown Digital at www.OakGov.com, and follow live tweets on Oakland County's Twitter handle @OakGov. This year's State of the County hashtag is #Brooks2015.

A video of the speech will be uploaded to Oakland County's YouTube account and copies of the speech will be available on the county executive's office Facebook page (www.facebook.com/OakGov.EO) and the county's homepage at www.OakGov.com.
