Birmingham — Fire officials are investigating a blaze that destroyed two school buses and damaged a third early Friday morning.

“We received a call about 1:15 a.m. about three buses involved,” said Lt. Jim McCullough. “Two buses were heavily damaged and are undriveable. The third received minor damages. No one was injured.”

The buses were parked in a bus lot on Holland Road.

According to McCullough, it is still too soon to determine if the fires are suspicious in nature. Birmingham Public Schools are on spring recess until Monday.
