Southfield police investigate why boy, 5, fell into unused pool
Southfield — Southfield police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding a 5-year-old boy who fell into an unused swimming pool at around 4:45 p.m. Monday.
According to police, officers responded to the 23000 block of West Nine Mile Road on a report of a 5-year-old child who possibly fell into a swimming pool. After they arrived, officers and Southfield Fire Department personnel recovered a 5-year-old boy from the water of an unused swimming pool.
The child was transported to an area hospital, and his condition remains unknown.
