Independence Township — A motorcycle rider who crashed into a car early Sunday evening was both busted up and busted after police found money and marijuana in his backpack.

According to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, the biker ran into a car at the intersection of Dixie Highway and White Lake Road at about 6:40 p.m.

The motorcycle driver, a 32-year-old resident of Independence Township, was transported to Genesys Regional Medical Center, where he remains in critical but stable condition.
