Southfield man, 69, arrested after repo man shot
Southfield — Police have arrested a 69-year-old Southfield man for allegedly shooting another man who was attempting to repossess his vehicle.
According to police, the incident occurred at about 5:30 a.m. Thursday in the 22000 block of Chatsford Circuit in an area west of Lahser and south of 12 Mile.
The victim, a 44-year-old resident of Southgate, was hit in the leg.
He was transported to a local hospital where his current condition is unknown.
Southfield Deputy Police Chief Nick Loussia said few other details were available as investigators were still on the scene. A handgun believed used in the shooting has been recovered, Loussia said.
Police said more information will be released as it becomes available.
