Royal Oak Police Chief Thomas Goad said Monday that an estimated 1.1 million people attended this year's Dream Cruise.

Only six Cruise-related arrests occurred in Royal Oak, where the largest concentration of cruisers and bystanders occurs each year, Goad said in a news release Monday.

One cruise-related arrest occurred Friday for having open alcohol in public. On Saturday, the five separate cruise-related arrests concerned operating under the influence of drugs; misdemeanor warrants and obstructing a police officer; possession of marijuana and open alcohol in public; operating while intoxicated; and felony warrants.

A Cruise In Shoes 5K run/walk drew 1,100 participants, police said.
