Pontiac — A 25-year-old man was stabbed early Saturday after he found his wife and her father lying naked in bed together, according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim told officials he arrived home around 3:35 a.m. Saturday to the 100 block of West Rundell Avenue, where he discovered his 24-year-old wife in bed with her 47-year-old father.

The younger man began to argue with his father-in-law, officials said. The altercation moved outside the home where the older man allegedly stabbed his son-in-law in the back.

Deputies responded to McLaren Hospital where the victim was receiving treatment for non-life threatening injuries, including a possibly perforated right lung. He was in listed in stable condition Monday, officials said.

Deputies also located the wife at the hospital, seeking treatment for sexual assault.

The woman told deputies she was out drinking with her father and passed out shortly after returning home. She did not know what had happened until her husband woke her up, she said.

The woman was medically cleared by McLaren staff and transported to the Haven START Program for further examination, officials said. She then was taken to a family member’s residence.

The suspect recently was released from prison and was staying with the couple, officials said.

Deputies attempted to locate the suspect at the home, but found he had fled in the victim’s vehicle. Officials said he may be hiding at a Detroit address.

The victim’s vehicle information was placed in the Law Enforcement Information Network as a wanted vehicle in relation to an attempted murder.
