Troy — A recent traffic stop for a moving violation led to the arrest of a Detroit man whose driver’s license had been suspended 43 times.

According to the Troy Police Department, the incident occurred at about 4 a.m. Wednesday on southbound Crooks, south of Wattles, when officers pulled over a white 2003 Chevrolet Silverado.

After arresting the 56-year-old driver, police searched his vehicle and found an open bottle of liquor tucked between the driver’s seat and the console.

The driver also had several warrants out for his arrest. He was charged with driving while license suspended and transporting an open intoxicant in a motor vehicle.
