Troy — Police say a bank robber is believed to have hit banks in the city three times in recent months.

The man, described as having a medium build and in his 30s or 40s, entered the TCF Bank at 1484 Coolidge about 10:50 a.m. Tuesday and demanded money from a teller. The man implied he had a weapon, victims said.

The man, about 5 feet, 10 inches, possibly with brown hair, wore a black ball cap with tape over the logo and a gray-hooded sweatshirt with black tape over the chest logo.

Investigators believe he may also be responsible for a robbery at the same location at 11 a.m. on April 16 and at a TCF Bank, 2138 E. Big Beaver at 11:15 a.m. on Sept. 10.

The robber was similarly dressed in all the holdups. No one was injured in any of the incidents, police said.

Anyone with information about him is asked to call police at (248) 524-3477.
