Gunshots damage entrance doors at Oxford school

Associated Press

Oxford Township — Authorities say gunshots damaged entrance doors at a middle school that was closed for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

The Oakland County sheriff’s department says the damage was discovered by a custodian Friday at Oxford Middle School in Oxford Township.

Windows and door frames at the north and east entrances were damaged. Several spent projectiles were recovered from the scene.

The school was empty at the time the building was damaged. The department says they’re investigating the case.
