Officials: Pontiac man was beaten to death

Pontiac — Police are asking for the public’s help in the investigation of the beating death of a 58-year-old Pontiac man early Sunday morning.

At about 4:50 a.m., deputies from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department found the body of Billy Kim-Duane Officer lying in front of a building on the 190 block of Auburn.

An autopsy showed that the cause of death was “blunt force trauma multiple times to the victim’s head.”

An investigation determined the victim had left the home of a friend in the 90 block of Shirley and was walking to the home of his girlfriend located near Jackson and Woodward.

According to police, a motive is unknown at this time, and it is unknown if Officer was robbed.
