Southfield police looking for hit-and-run suspect

Southfield — Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the driver of a vehicle that fled after striking an 82-year-old pedestrian on Oct. 14.

According to police, Berkley resident Norman Prady was walking in the north parking lot of the New York Bagel when he was struck at about 12:05 p.m.

As a result of the incident, Prady was hospitalized for seven seeks with a serious head injury.

The suspect is described as a white male, 18-25 years old, with a medium complexion who was wearing a yarmulke.

Police believe the suspect was driving a gold-colored Toyota Camry with a Mackinac Bridge-Sunrise Michigan license plate which contained the letter “C.”
