A power line issue has caused some 3,000 households and businesses in the Madison Heights area Friday morning to be without electricity, according to DTE Energy Co.

As of 9:35 a.m., DTE Energy did not know the exact cause of the issue and had no timetable for when it would be repaired, said DTE Energy spokeswoman Stephanie Beres.

DTE’s energy outage map shows the outages as happening largely between from 12 Mile to 14 Mile, and between Campbell Road on the west and John R. on the east.
