Royal Oak — Royal Oak City Hall is open for business Thursday after repairs were made to the city’s boiler.

A burst water pipe was discovered around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday on the first floor of the building on Williams Street.

The break may have occurred late Tuesday after the heat went out, officials posted on the city’s Facebook page.

Boiler repairs were made around 6 p.m. Wednesday.

“Necessary repairs to city hall's heating system are complete,” the city announced Wednesday. Thursday hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday hours are 8:00 a.m. to noon.
