Crash on Interstate 75 leaves 1 seriously injured

One person was seriously injured Monday during a crash involving two vehicles on northbound Interstate 75 in Troy, police said.

The crash, which occurred shortly after 3 p.m. near Crooks, involved a 15-person passenger van and a vehicle, according to Troy police.

One person in the vehicle was taken to Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak in serious condition.

Police said they will continue to investigate the crash.

All northbound I-75 lanes at Crooks were closed briefly Monday, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation. The lanes have reopened.
