Addison Township — A 41-year-old township man is jailed and expected to face charges Tuesday after Oakland County Sheriff's deputies, responding to a possible residential break-in at his home, found a marijuana grow operation.

A home alarm was set off about 2:30 p.m. Monday at a home in the 4000 block of Curtis Road. Deputies found an open front door and a loose dog on the premises and an alarm sounding inside the residence.

When deputies entered to secure the door, they found at least 26 plants and several jars of marijuana inside the home.

The homeowner arrived during the incident and was arrested and taken into custody without further incident.
