Warrant issued for man sought in Pontiac suffocation
Pontiac — A not-in-custody warrant was issued Thursday for a suspect in the death of a woman found stuffed in a closet of her Pontiac home last week.
A $2,000 reward is offered for information leading to the arrest of Kevin Jermaine Wiley, 34, wanted for first-degree murder in the death of Marie Elizabeth Colburn, 30.
Colburn’s body was found by her mother in her Ridgemont apartment April 22. The daughter, who had been suffocated, had not been seen for four days before the grim discovery.
Colburn was an independent contractor for Michigan.com, delivering copies of The Detroit News and Detroit Free Press.
Wiley, her boyfriend, was on parole for manslaughter and cut off a GPS ankle tether, investigators said.
Anyone with information about Wiley’s whereabouts is asked to call the Oakland County Sheriff’s Tipline at (888) TURN-1-IN or CrimeStoppers at (800) SPEAKUP.
