Power has been restored to DTE Energy customers after more than 8,000 were hit by outages Thursday.

A DTE Energy outage map showed the outages were concentrated in parts of Warren, Troy and Madison Heights.

Most of the outages were caused by equipment failure, according to the utility’s outage map on its website.

Power had been restored by 9:40 p.m., said a DTE spokeswoman.
