Deputies seek suspects in armed robbery of Pontiac teen
The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office is looking for three males who robbed a teen at gunpoint Sunday as he played basketball alone in the street.
The incident happened around 3:56 p.m. in the 70 block of Karen Court.
The 13-year-old boy said he was playing basketball across the street from his home when three males started playing basketball with him. The boy told deputies that one of them pulled out a handgun and demanded his phone and shoes.
The teen said after he handed over his possessions, the suspects left in a green Saturn sedan with a broken rear passenger window.
Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s tip line at 888-TURN-1-IN or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP. Authorities say there is a $1,000 cash reward.
