Oakland Community College freezes tuition for 2016-17
Oakland Community College is freezing tuition for 2016-17, the school announced Monday.
The decision means tuition at OCC will remain $88 per credit hour for college district residents and $171 for out-of-district, out-of-state and international residents.
OCC also announced some academic changes that take effect this fall.
Students considering online or hybrid courses must take a new, noncredit online learning readiness class before registering.
OCC also is offering a new fast-track English path that allows students to accelerate through first-year writing requirements by completing a three week, one-credit course, ENG 1075 (English Essentials), and a 12-week, three-credit class, ENG 1510 (Composition 1).
Students can register for classes online at https://www.oaklandcc.edu/admissions/getting-started/registration.aspx or in person from July 13 through Aug. 30.
