A woman found in a field earlier this week was positively identified Thursday as a missing White Lake Township resident and is believed to have died elsewhere and then dumped there, according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.

Jennifer Calleja, 30, was reported missing to White Lake Township Police by her boyfriend earlier this week, according to an initial report.

While an autopsy determined no trauma to the body, manner and death is still pending toxicology results, which could take up to five weeks.

Investigators said there appears to be a fresh set of vehicle tracks leading from the street to the vacant field at the corner of Going and Prospect streets where the body was found about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday by an area residents.

One resident told deputies a black vehicle drove onto the lot about 3 a.m. on Wednesday and stayed in the field about one minute before driving away.

Anyone who may have information about the vehicle or Calleja’s whereabouts in the past three days prior to being found, is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (248) 858-4950.
