Tips sought in Bloomfield Twp. car break-ins

Bloomfield Township police are seeking tips from the public to find a person accused of breaking into vehicles at two apartment complexes last week.

Early on July 1, officers were called to the Glens of Bloomfield complex off Telegraph and 14 Mile as well as the Whethersfield Apartments near Quarton — about two miles away — on several reports of larcenies from autos, police said in a statement.

“The officers found seven Chrysler vehicles had their windows broken and their in-dash radio/ navigation systems taken sometime overnight,” the release read.

The vehicle police are searching for was was driven by a black female with an unknown passenger.

Surveillance cameras captured images of a car and driver investigators believe were involved.

Authorities describe the vehicle as a red four-door sedan, possibly a Toyota or Chrysler, driven by an African-American female with an unidentified passenger.
