A 24-year-old Bloomfield Hills man died after being hit Sunday night while crossing Woodward Avenue in Bloomfield Township, police said.

The fatal crash occurred at about 9:27 p.m. Sunday. Hours later, early information indicates that the man was killed by a 2015 Ford Fusion, driven by a 65-year-old Bloomfield Hills man who was traveling northbound on Woodward. The pedestrian was in the roadway when hit, police said.

Early indications are that speed and alcohol were not a factor in the crash, according to a statement from Bloomfield Township Police Sgt. Kim Comerford of the traffic investigations unit.
