Man charged with soliciting sex act from minor

A 29-year-old Auburn Hills man was arrested and charged Friday on allegations of soliciting a sexual act from a minor, police said.

Auburn Hills Police Department said Adam Hopper was charged with one felony count of accosting, enticing or soliciting a child for immoral purpose, following an investigation.

It is alleged Hopper solicited a person under the age of 16 for a sexual act, police said in a news release. If convicted, Hopper faces up to four years in prison and/or a fine of up to $4,000.

Hopper was arraigned in 52-3rd District Court in Rochester Hills by Magistrate Marie A. Soma. A not guilty plea was entered on his behalf. Bond was set at $25,000 cash.

Hopper is due back in court Nov. 10 for a probable cause conference.
