Southfield police are investigating the death of a couple whose bodies were found Tuesday night at a condominium complex.

Officials said police were called to the Evergreen Meadows Condominiums near Evergreen Road and Interstate 696 just before midnight Tuesday about a man lying on the ground and surrounded by broken glass.

Officers arrived to find an unresponsive 53-year-old man and an unresponsive 46-year-old woman.

Investigators determined both were dead and had gunshot wounds, authorities said.

Detectives learned the two people were in a relationship and believe their deaths resulted from a murder-suicide, officials said.

Police ask anyone with information about the incident or the victims should call them at (248) 796-5500.
